A Message from Miss United Rodeo...
It has been a busy yet exciting month where I have gotten the chance to travel to Nebraska, Missouri, and Iowa.
On Friday June 20 I was in Auburn NE where I got to help clear the pin and get drenched in a “light” Nebraska shower. Although the rodeo ended on a rainy note it was overall a great time.
June 26 was the first day of the Odessa Rodeo where I got to meet past and up coming rodeo queens. While I was there I helped sell 50/50 raffle tickets.
The Woodbine IA rodeo started on Thursday July 10 with kid’s night where I helped pass out ribbons to all the mutton bustin contestants. Friday the 11th the rodeo began, I got to help clear the pin with several other rodeo queens. Saturday was a busy day with the Parade in the morning and taco dinner at noon. At the taco dinner all the queens got together to take pictures for the sponsors. That night was the last night of the Woodbine Rodeo with a dance following the performance. For my stay at Woodbine I got the privilege of staying with the Smith family, who were very generous and made me feel right at home.
I have enjoyed this month and can’t wait to see what adventures lie ahead of me. Make sure and check out the website www.missunitedrodeo.com to see pictures from my travels.

April started out with a twist. I had the privilege of judging the Miss NFPB queen contest in St Joseph, MO. It was a great opportunity to meet new people and learn first hand the details that go into both the Miss NFPB queen contest and the bull riding event. On April 12 & 13 it was off to he Iowa Horse Fair to meet up with Purina and Bronco Billy's. I had a great time signing autographs and meeting everyone who stopped in at these two great booths. It was also the kick off for the new fund raising event with Cowboy Magic. Cowboy Magic has created a new line of products called Cowgirl Magic, provided to Rodeo Queen Pageants only, the first offering is a wonderful lotion called Pink Lady lotion. Anyone making a donation of $10.00 or more will receive a lotion for free. I will have this great product avaliable all year so please stop by to make your donation and I will be happy to give you a free gift. In the fall Cowgril Magic will be introducing a lotion with a new fragrance called Vanilla Bean. It is very generous of Cowboy Magic to come up with such a great product and make it exclusively for Queen Pageants. Looking forward to seeing you all at Burlingame in May.
Since January, I have been in Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas making appearances and learning all sorts of things from how to put together a coronation to different training techniques.
In my quest to find out how to put together a coronation, I was invited to Aliegh Beahm’s Miss Rodeo Iowa 2008 coronation that was held in Dunlap, IA on January 5, 2008. I was also invited to Alyson McCall’s Miss Teen Rodeo Kansas coronation on the 9th of February. These events were a great help to me and I can’t wait to see the out come of my coronation, which will be held on March 22, 2008 in Hamilton Missouri.
My next couple adventures were horse fairs in Kansas and Nebraska. The Kansas Equifest was held on March 1. While in Kansas I got the pleasure of learning from trainers such as Curt Pate, Cleve Wells, Steve Edwards, and many more. The next Horse Fair that I went to was in Lincoln Nebraska. It was in Lincoln that I had the opportunity to watch and meet Stacy Westfall, which was more than amazing! During the two-day event I was at the R Bar B both where I signed autographs and handed out Cowboy Magic samples, which was a huge hit! So make sure that you stop by the website (www.missunitedrodeo.com), and check out this months Cowboy Magic’s helpful hint, along with pictures from my travels.
